We are postponing our next & upcoming event, The Great Hawaiian Smokeout (TGHS) 2024 on Nov 9-10.
Those BBQ Teams who are already registered were earlier contacted and are receiving full refund. This was a hard call to make, not without work to avoid it, but for the sake of all our professional barbecuers and their need for plenty heads up, we are making the hard call now.
Logistics, the M.O. of business, and critical partnerships are a special brand of challenge for our event’s particular destination spot – and it is why our project team has bent over backwards the last 2 years to finally put Hawaii on the map (last of 50 states!) for bona fide BBQ competition. We did it twice now, but—BUT!!!— this year’s hurdle has emphasized the need for us to build a Warrior BBQ resource and network that can stabilize, perpetuate, expand it.
We are terribly sorry for the letdown of those wanting to join us in November. Keep an eye out for our other Warrior BBQ happenings. And definitely reach out if you have input & the will to help champion our next TGHS.
